The book follows a family of three desperate for affordable housing, struggling with apartment hopping, who find a rural place too good to be true. But they refuse to move, fighting back against the ghosts and unaware of something worse on the way. There are ghosts and monsters, but I do focus a lot on the struggles of young families in this economy. The entire thing is rigged, of course. But somethings, chainsaws make wrongs right.
